Mr. Mohammed Thamer Al-Mazrouei, Second Secretary at the Embassy of Qatar in Ethiopia, attended a meeting on collaboration in the fields of higher education, research, innovation, and promoting mutual growth between Ethiopia and Italy. The meeting was inaugurated by Italian Senator Bernini and Ethiopia’s Minister of Education, Berhanu Nega, at the Italian Cultural Institute in Addis Ababa

H.E. the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union received Mr. Tsegay Chama, the Secretary-General of the African “Global Black” Center. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance opportunities for cooperation in the fields of history, culture, and environment between the African center and various research and study centers in the state of Qatar.

H. E. the Ambassador of the state of Qatar to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union welcomed in his office a delegation from the institute of Foreign Affairs of MOFA. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation opportunities between the two countries.

Mr. Mohammed Thamer Al-Mazrouei,Second Secretary at the Embassy of state of Qatar extended his condolences at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the victims of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash that occurred on December 25, 2024, during its flight from Baku to Grozny. He expressed his full solidarity with the Azerbaijani people in this difficult time

H.E. the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia received Sheikh Haji Ibrahim Tofa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Ethiopia, at his office. During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations and discussed ways to strengthen them through serving the Muslim community, as well as exploring opportunities for cooperation in future cultural and religious projects. They also discussed promoting the message of Islam and the values of moderation in Ethiopia, establishing charity programs, and building bridges of sustainable cooperation between the two countries.

Mr. Mohammed Thamer Al-Mazrouei, Second Secretary - at the Embassy of the State of Qatar to Ethiopia, handed over a donation of computers and printers to the Salma Charity Association. The Qatari donations were received by Mr. Mohammed Teetsha, President of the Association.

H.E. the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, received a courtesy visit from H.E. Dr. Mohamed Omar Gad, Ambassador of the Republic of Egypt to Ethiopia, in his office. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them and discussed opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

H.E. the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Ethiopia participated in the celebration held on the occasion of the World Arabic Language Day, which was held at the headquarters of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in Addis Ababa. The Commission organized this yearly event in cooperation with the League of Arab States and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

H.E. the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Ethiopia attended the closing ceremony of the fifth anniversary celebrations of the founding of the Ethiopian Prosperity Party (the ruling party), at the Adwa Memorial Museum in the capital, Addis Ababa. The attendees included Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, Chairman of the Party, and a number of senior officials and invited guests.

H.E. Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Ethiopia, members of the embassy and the military attaché participated in the International Day of Solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people, which was organized by the Embassy of the State of Palestine in cooperation with the Arab League Office and the Council of Arab Ambassadors. The ceremony was held at the headquarters of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.
